International Email Marketing Report
Marketing Sherpa has released its 2009 Email Marketing Benchmark Guide. This year’s addition includes a special report on managing international email. The report says that roughly a quarter of large emailers report that over 15% of their names are from overseas but nearly half aren’t tracking this metric.
Since email marketing is a common marketing tool in the B2B market, international marketers may find the information in this new report helpful. Granted, it has a decidedly US-slant to it, but the information it offers on country-specific deliverability might be useful to anyone sending emails outside their own nation.
The new report promises to tell you:
- How companies perceive and prioritize international email
- Country specific information about deliverability and what works
- How leading-edge emailers are customizing email for international delivery
The report says that for large organizations, nearly 35% have email lists where 30% or more names are foreign. Especially in industries like automotive, machines, and biotechnology.
Among small and mid-sized businesses, 29% have email lists with more than 10% populated outside North America.
You can download a PDF executive summary of the report from Marketing Sherpa.
The Email Benchmark Guide sells for $397 USD .
